I almost failed my high school German class. All because of a picture. It spoke more to me about Germany then the entire textbook. And I couldn’t keep my eyes off it long enough to actually listen to the teacher. It was probably in that moment that I discovered the power of a picture.
When I first saw my baby girl smile I knew I had to capture it. A child’s laughter, a couple’s knowing look, a family’s quirky personality. Some things cannot be described they have to be seen. Where words fail, photography fills in the gaps.
So now all you know about me is I can’t speak German, I’m a mother and I know the power of a good picture…there’s a little more to it then that.
I’m the wife of an eternal student who promises me that his residency is almost done.
I have two beautiful little girls who believe Disney princesses are as real as peanut butter.
I love a good classic novel but I never miss an episode of the Bachelor.
I believe baked goods are the greatest blessing and the biggest curse.
I love to be silly and I adore laughter but I know there are quiet moments in life where only tears can make it right.
I love big windows and natural light.
For me having a clean house is therapeutic, but so is my junk drawer.
I’m a secret storm chaser and I love a good violent thunder storm.
I get a kick out of planning a perfect party, but my favorite moments are usually spontaneous.
In short, I believe life is in the details.
I’m in the business of capturing those details, the unexpected everyday little things that make us who we are. The sweet, funny, quirky moments, the moments that fade when not captured.
I hope you get a chance to look through my lens and see the world they way I see it. I promise you it’s beautiful…
